Northwest Special Education Cooperative is seeking a School Social Worker or School Counselor for placement at Northwest Academy, Therapeutic Day School, for the 2023-2024 School Year. The successful candidate will:
–
teach social and emotional skills;
–
provide individual and small group therapy services as per IEPs;
–
provide outreach services to families of students;
–
assist in crisis intervention;
–
participate on IEP teams for re- evaluations for special education eligibility;
–
and be a liaison for families regarding information/community resources.
Qualifications:
The qualified individual holds a Master's Degree in social work or counseling, as well as the appropriate Illinois Professional Educator License (PEL) with an endorsement in School Social Work or School Counseling.
